How Do I Create My First Product Badge in WooCommerce?

Follow the steps below to create and display your first product badge using the WooCommerce Product Labels plugin.

Step 1: Open the Badges Page

After installing and activating the WooCommerce Product Labels plugin, a new Badges menu will appear in your WordPress dashboard.

  • Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
  • Go to Badges.
  • The Badges page will display the available product badges.
  • Click Add New Badge to create a new badge.

Step 2: Enter the Badge Details

The Add New Badge page contains different tabs for configuring your badge. The available tabs depend on the plugin version you are using.

The Premium version includes the following tabs:

  • CSS Badges
  • Image Badges
  • Advanced Badges
  • Timer Settings
  • Schedule
  • Products Selection

Note: The Free version provides 3 tabs, while the Premium version provides all 6 configuration tabs.

Step 3: Enter the Badge Title

In the Title field, enter a name for your badge.

For example:

  • New Arrival
  • Sale
  • Best Seller
  • Limited Stock

The title helps you identify and manage the badge from the Badges page.

Step 4: Select and Customize the Badge Type

Select the Badge Type you want to use.

After selecting the badge type, configure its appearance using the available styling options, such as:

  • Style Options – Customize the appearance of the badge.
  • Opacity – Adjust the transparency of the badge.
  • Position – Select where the badge should appear on the product.

Configure these options according to your requirements.

Step 5: Assign the Badge to Products

After configuring the badge appearance, open the Products Selection tab.

Use this section to select the products on which you want the badge to appear.

Make sure you select the required products before publishing the badge.

Step 6: Publish the Badge

Once you have completed the badge configuration and selected the required products:

  1. Review the badge settings.
  2. Click Publish.
  3. The badge will be published and applied to the selected products.

Step 7: Verify the Badge

Visit your store and open one of the products assigned to the badge.

Verify that the badge is displayed correctly on the product according to the settings you configured.

Your first product badge is now ready!
