Hi, How can we help?

Image Optimisation Dashboard

The Image Optimisation Dashboard enables you to compress and optimise your media files directly from the WordPress admin panel. Optimising images reduces file sizes, improves website loading speed, and saves storage space.

Optimization Options

The dashboard provides two primary methods for image optimisation:

  • Optimise All Images
  • WebP Compression

1. Optimise All Images

This feature allows you to compress your entire media library in bulk. It reduces file sizes while preserving image quality.

This feature is ideal for websites with a large number of existing images, helping to improve performance without manually compressing each file.

2. WebP Compression

The WebP Compression feature converts your images into the WebP format, which offers superior compression compared to standard formats (JPEG, PNG) while maintaining quality.

Using WebP images can significantly improve page load times, reduce storage requirements, and also contribute to better SEO performance since faster websites are favored by search engines.

This option is particularly beneficial for modern web performance optimisation, as WebP is widely supported across browsers and devices.

Offload Optimised Images To Cloud Storage

After optimising your images or converting them to WebP format, you can offload them to cloud storage. This helps reduce server load, ensures data safety, and allows your website to serve images efficiently.

Features and Actions

  1. Sync WebP Files to Cloud: Uploads all optimised WebP images to your connected cloud storage for faster delivery and reduced server load.
  2. Sync Backup Files to Cloud: Stores all original, uncompressed images in the cloud as a secure backup.
  3. Delete Local WebP Files: Removes local WebP files after syncing to free up server storage while keeping cloud copies accessible.
  4. Delete Local Backup Files: Deletes local copies of original images once verified backups exist in the cloud, freeing storage without risking data loss.

Settings

  • Enable Optimisation on Upload: Automatically compresses images when uploaded to the WordPress media library.
  • Enable WebP Conversion on Upload: Converts newly uploaded images to WebP format automatically.

  • Rewrite Image URLs to WebP: Rewrites image URLs to serve WebP images where supported by browsers.

  • Image Compression Quality: Set compression quality (0–100) for standard formats (JPEG, PNG). Lower reduces size more; higher preserves quality.

  • WebP Compression Quality: Controls compression quality for WebP images to balance quality and file size.
